My Favorite Things!
Hi there! If you’re new here - my name is Logan and I love creating art and making Procreate tutorials for anyone that would like to learn! I often get asked about products and things I use and ways to improve workflow, therefore I’ve compiled a short list of the things I actually use from Amazon as well as the things I’m eyeing up! Please note, this post contains affiliate links. This means I will earn a commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you! I hope you find this helpful and thank you for being here!
My Essentials I use EVERY day.
iPad Pro 13 Inch – A powerful iPad with a large screen is a game-changer for digital art. Check it out here!
Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) – A must-have for precision and pressure sensitivity. I love that it has a flat side so it doesn’t roll away when it’s on a flat surface. It’s the little things… Get yours here!
iPad Case – Protect your iPad! That baby was expensive! while keeping it propped up at a comfortable drawing angle. Here’s the one I’m using now!
iPad Screen Protector – A screen protector that keeps your screen safe from cracks and scratches. See my favorite one here!
Compression Gloves – These gloves are essential to keep my arthritis in check when I’m drawing for hours on end! Shop Here!
The things I am currently drooling over/dreaming about…
Pretty Lap Desks
1. Lap Desk with Slot for Phone and Mouse:
Oh. My. Gosh. This lap desk is basically a mobile command center for my iPad! It’s got a built-in mouse pad (because obviously, I need to be fancy), a phone slot so I wouldn’t have to go digging through the couch cushions, and a cushy bottom so I can lounge in ultimate comfort. Imagine me, cozied up on the couch, Procreate open, snacks within reach—pure bliss.
2. Lap Desk with Horizontal Phone Slot and Watercolor Leaf Design
Okay, but why is this lap desk so pretty?? I really like that the phone slot is horizontal but let’s be honest I would likely be watching a tv show while I’m drawing. I like the cushy bottom but it’s also reminding me of long roadtrips in my childhood but I can probably look past that. It even has a little ledge to keep my iPad from sliding away when I inevitably shift into a new lounging position. I also like that it has a handle so I could easily carry it from room to room. Functional and aesthetic? Immediate add-to-cart.
3. Bamboo Lap Desk Stand With Drawer
I just know this bamboo lap desk would make me feel like the ultimate cozy productivity queen! I think I love it because it reminds me of my bathtub caddy which I am obsessed with. It’s also giving ‘breakfast in bed’ which I don’t hate. And can we talk about the little storage drawer?? I’ll finally have a spot for my Apple Pencil instead of losing it in my blankets every five minutes. Yasssss. This would to be a game-changer.
4. Easel Lap Desk With Storage
I can already picture myself setting up this gorgeous acacia wood lap desk and feeling like a true artist at work! It’s soooo pretty and it looks like it is really good quality. The adjustable easel is so clever and I love all the built-in storage that could stash lip balm, snacks, notebooks, hair ties, etc instead of scattering them across the couch. The only thing that has me questioning it is that when it’s angled, the storage underneath is just open. I find myself wishing the storage area was covered when the desk part is tilted but not a deal breaker… It’s giving old schoolhouse vibes and I’m here for it! Such a creative setup!
5. Bamboo Inlaid Stand
This is the most aesthetically pleasing option to me! It’s so cool and unique! I just know this bamboo tablet stand would make my drawing sessions so much more comfortable! No more weird hand cramps from holding my iPad at an awkward angle—I’d be able to prop it up at the perfect height and just focus on creating. Plus, it has a little slot for my Apple Pencil, which means I won’t have to go on a scavenger hunt for it! The only downside is I believe it is meant for flat surfaces so I don’t think it would work for drawing in bed or sitting on a couch. I do think it would be absolutely perfect for when I film tutorials!
6. Plush iPad Stand
Ooh, I can already picture myself getting super comfy with this! It is just plush perfection and gorgeous! Whether I’m lounging on the couch, sketching in bed, or watching YouTube in full potato mode, this seems like it will make everything so much easier. It seems squishy yet supportive because uhhh sometimes my arms get tired holding up my iPad, and I love that it has a little area for my Apple Pencil. I love that it’s foldable too, seems like it would be great to travel with!
Boujee Add-Ons
7. Pillow
I want this sooooo bad…Okay, but why does this pillow seem like the coziest life upgrade ever? Imagine curling up in bed, sketching away on an iPad with back support AND armrests…This would be a DREAM for long drawing sessions. Pssst guess what else it has?? SIDE POCKETS!
8. Screen Cleaner Mist Spray
I am a sucker for pretty packaging. Nothing’s worse than smudgy fingerprints on an iPad screen while trying to draw. Plus, it's alcohol- and ammonia-free, which is apparently back for screen protectors (I didn’t know that but it makes sense). And it’s refillable, which means less waste. Honestly, this might be a must-have for keeping my workspace (and sanity) clean!
9. Screen Cleaner 4-Pack
Ok these were just too cute not to share plus they are a more affordable option! I like that these are so compact which would make it easy to toss in a bag for travel or daily use. Definitely seems like a solid, budget-friendly alternative for keeping screens smudge-free while drawing!
Sleeves and Bags
10. Puffy iPad Sleeve
Gah! There’s so many things I want to buy! This puffy iPad sleeve is such a cutie. The soft, padded design makes it look like a cozy winter coat! Looks compact enough to fit in a bag without adding too much bulk—perfect for artists on the go! Plus, the color options are so stinkin’ aesthetic, especially the Latte and Sage Green. Definitely a stylish way to keep your iPad safe!
11. iPad Sleeve Case
This sleeve feels simple yet high-end. The hidden magnetic closure is a nice touch—no zippers to scratch your device! Plus, the included pouch is super handy for keeping chargers and accessories organized. Love that it’s slim enough to slip into a bag!
12. iPad Bag
It has a strap and there’s a ton of storage! Need I say more? I have a makeup travel bag that is similar to this and I absolutely love it!
Keyboards
13. Bluetooth Keyboard
Oh my goodness this is so cute! This would be so fun to take to a coffee shop to get work done. I love that it’s like a built-in workstation and it can connect to 3 devices at once! And you KNOW the clicky sound of the keys will likely be the ASMR of my dreams!
14. Typewriter Keyboard
I thought I was in love with the last keyboard but then I saw this retro typewriter-inspired one and I melted. Mwah chef’s kiss!
